Previous Image Next day 7 - Greymouth to Christchurch

After a quick ride back down the coast and through the
valleys leading east up to the alps, the road quickly began to
rise and twist as we approached our lunch at Arthur's Pass.  Not
long after, the road flattened (but did not straighten) as we
wound through enormous glacial valleys on our slow descent from
the mountains.  After a stop to explore some limestone caves, we
continued down towards the Canterbury plains, making our way back
into Christchurch in the late afternoon.  NZBike was astonished by how
incredibly filthy the bikes were.
