Dave, Susan, and I took a trip from Beijing to Dalian for the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year). Dalian is a costal city about 600 miles from Beijing. It was very clean and beautiful, although frigid. In addition to the usual city lights, it was decorated with red lanterns and strings of christmas lights for the spring festival. They put on an amazing fireworks display, more intense than any I'd seen before. Except for the last two snow-filled pictures, these are all from Dalian.
